Service Logistics

Service Logistics is the management of the flow of goods and resources, between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet consumer requirements. Service logistics involves the integration of activities including information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material-handling, packaging, and security. Service Logistics is a channel of the supply chain which adds the value of time and place utility; better management of the supply of goods and resources ultimately leads to reduced down-time and cost savings through better transportation, inventory management, and warehousing practices.
